This stone built former shepherds house has been lovingly and tastefully renovated to the highest standard. The kitchen with solid wood fittings and a Rayburn cooker is large and light with a farmhouse kitchen table to sit six. The sitting room is very comfortable and has an open fire. Fully central heated and carpeted throughout (except the kitchen) the furnishings have been chosen for comfort and looks. All furnishings and linen are cotton and duvets, pillows and cushions are filled with synthetic fibres to avoid triggering an allergic reaction. There are two bedrooms one double and one single both with duvets, quilted bedspreads and electric blankets. There is no television reception here but a small television and video machine are provided. Dogs are allowed downstairs in the house only.
The rates are inclusive of heating oil and electricity charges. Firewood and coal are available if you like an open fire as well. The cottage has a garage and there is plenty of parking space.
Outside a large grassed enclosed garden and two buildings, one with a deep freeze and ample storage for bicycles should you wish to take advantage of the quiet private roads. The other houses the washing machine and tumble drier and a large raised sleeping platform for dogs in a separate kennel area. If you would like to bring your horse with you we can arrange livery in the valley or take a ride from nearby Kimmerston Riding Centre across the sands to Holy Island.
