This very comfortable and spacious Beadnell Cottage has an attractive secluded setting in the heart of the fishing village of Beadnell. It is located beside the older properties in Beadnell. Beadnell is approximatelly one mile from Seahouses and three miles from the historic village of Bamburgh. The town of Alnwick is a 15 minute drive away. The area is steeped in history with numerous castles and country houses open to visitors.

The property consists of two old cottages in Beadnell (approx 400 years old) joined into one with a large extension added to the rear. The house has double glazing throughout and has under floor, cavity wall and ceiling insulation for comfort and energy efficiency. The cottage is split level, with 4 different floor levels. Visitors staying in the property often refer to it as a pandora's box as it is much larger than it looks from the front.

St. Ebba's Beadnell Cottage

St Ebba’s has a large front garden with drive and ample parking for at least 4 cars, and a larger lawned South facing fully enclosed back garden. Further parking is available at side of house if required.

It is a short walk to the beach, coast and good pubs serving food. For more information on the area such as golf, horse riding, diving, wind surfing, bird watching and tourism.

Ground floor:

? Beamed kitchen/breakfast room (4.45m x 4.67m) with electric cooker, microwave, oil rayburn (not summer months), dishwasher, fridge-freezer plus additional fridge, colour TV. Good size room with table suitable for up to 8 persons.

? Downstairs bathroom/utility (1.52m x 3.72m) with shower cabinet, toilet, whb. and automatic washing machine.

? Separate beamed lounge/diner (4.46m x 4.72m) with original stone fireplace and open fire which heats radiators. Very cosy during the winter months.

? Large living room (5.47m x 7.36m) with french windows onto private back garden, colour TV's/video, electric fire, log burning stove (available off season).

Upstairs:

? Bedroom 1 (large, 4.6m x 5.35m) - 1 super king size double bed (1.8 metres wide x 2 metres long) and wash hand basin. Plenty of room for cots.

? Bedroom 2 (large, 3.6m x 4.86m) - 2 x 90cm. single beds (can be joined to make super king size double bed). Plenty of room for cot.

? Bedroom 3 (2.5m x 3.67m) - 1 Double bed (1.37m x 2.0m).

? Bedroom 4 (2.5m x 3.67m) - 2 x 76cm. wide single beds.

? Bathroom (2.52m x 3.58m) with bath, separate shower cubicle with electric shower, whb, WC.

Fully enclosed large garden to rear with lawns and patio areas with garden furniture. Drying area for laundry.

Night storage electric heating throughout + extra radiators off open fire for cold seasons. Immersion heater. Bring own linen (bed linen can be provided by arrangement at £7.50 per person for linen). Free broadband and telephone provided if used as instructed.

All Power included in rent (i.e. electric, coal, oil and logs).

£100 Damage/Cleaning deposit is payable to the caretaker on your arrival. (this will be fully refunded after your departure, provided the property is left as required and there is no damage).

The house is normally rented for use by up to 8 persons. There is plenty of room for cots in bedrooms 1 and 2. Cots are not provided.

Please note: It may be possible to provide a sofa bed in the lounge/dining room downstairs for a further 2 persons. Details on request.

Longer rental periods can be negotiated during the low season.

Reductions of up to £100 are possible for parties of 4 or less during the low seasons.
