Fawnlea is a traditional 4 star cottage with modern comforts in the picturesque village of Staindrop, having two twinned bedrooms and bathroom upstairs which are sylishly designed.
The lounge/dining room are very cozy, with fully equipped kitchen and toilet and utility room downstairs.
The cottage is centrally heated with additional gas fire, patio area, off road parking and a access ramp to the front door.
All prices include gas, electricity and all linen and towels.
Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage and we do not accept pets.
Fawnlea is within view of St. Mary's Church on the corner of this quaint village in between Darlington and the historical market town of Barnard Castle only 10 minutes drive away.
Raby Castle is within walking distance with the opportunity to go into the castle and its grounds with tea shop and gardens during your visit.
Staindrop has three public houses and a fantastic restaurant also tea shop, very talented florist, local Spa shop, papershop, post office and good fish and chip shop which you must try out, all within no more than five minutes walk away from the cottage.
Staindrop has beautiful scenery with many country walks with seats along the way to stop and relax on to enjoy the views and locals going about their every day business.
Not far away by car is the beautiful city of Durham which has a marvellous cathedral and not forgetting Beamish Museum for happy memories of history. Also Hamsterley Forrest is very handy for mountain biking, walking or a picnic on a sunny day to keep the children happy.
