Gill Bank Farm Cottage has been totally renovated to a high standard with a blend of modernization with old world charm. The cottage is modern with central heating, a fully fitted kitchen with an electric cooker and a fridge with an icebox.

The cottage is also equipped with a microwave oven, a colour T.V. and a payphone.    There is a double bed and a single in a large front room, and a double bed in the rear room, with both front and rear rooms have a lovely view across the fields.  There is a well appointed bathroom which also has linen and towels available.

The cottage is situated at the Gateway to Teesdale and Weardale.  The area is perfect for walking and exploring small villages and beauty spots e.g. Durham City, Killhope Wheel, Beamish Open Air Museum, High Force, Bowes Museum and Raby Castle only to name a few.

Gill Bank Cottage is situated approximately 6 miles from Barnard Castle, 9 miles from Bishop Auckland and 5 miles from the beautiful and picturesque Hamsterley Forest. In the Village there is a newsagent that also sells groceries and other shops and a Post Office in neighbouring villages.
