The village itself forms part of a conservation area and contains an ancient Church and examples of half-timbered black and white houses which are typical of the area. A wealth of lanes, footpaths and bridleways intersecting the village facilitates leisurely exploration of the nearby woodlands and local estates whose fine mansions add to the sense of timelessness in this unspoiled spot. Within 5 miles is the edge of Wyre Forest which has miles of footpaths, bike trails and bridleways plus a visitors' centre and car parks.
