The Lowe family invite you to visit their historic family run farm, Fairboroughs, which is set in the beautiful area of the Staffordshire Moorlands on the south west edge of the Peak District and near the Cheshire border. We offer self catering accommodation in Wren Cottage which is so named because wrens used to nest in it.Wren Cottage is situated on this working beef/sheep farm and was formerly a shippon (cow shed) used for young stock built in approx. 1550. As part of this historic farm it has Grade II listing. It is situated in the curtailage of Fairboroughs farmhouse which has a history going back to 1230. Wren Cottage was converted in 2002 and let for the first time in 2003.
