River Lodge is a quaint and historic cottage situated about 1 mile from Throwley Hall Farm, alongside the River Manifold.

This delightful cottage was built in 1840 and has been tastefully restored, with oak used for much of the new woodwork and retaining features such as stone mullioned windows and beamed ceilings.

The downstairs facilities include:

A fully fitted luxury kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge (freezer in utility room), dishwasher, washing machine plus tumble drier.
An attractive dining area with tiled floor
A well furnished lounge, with colour TV and video
Fitted carpets (except in the kitchen and utility room)
Central heating
Shower and toilet downstairs

Upstairs there are two bedrooms - the upstairs rooms comprise:

One double bedroom
One twin bedroom, with a beamed ceiling
Bathroom and toilet upstairs
Outside there is an attractive and spacious garden sloping down to the River Manifold
Cot and High Chair, payphone, washer and dryer all provided.
Linen is included but towels are available for hire at extra cost.

Dogs are allowed - an extra £5 each. This is a sheep farming area and dogs MUST be kept on leads.

Set in the Peak District national park the cottage is situated on our family farm where sheep and cattle are nurtured in easy harmony with the abundant wildlife and flowers. Numerous walks from the door step or you can explore the area and local market towns.
