Equally, if you want to do any walking, fishing, bird watching or any other country pursuits then this is the place to be!The Hop Barn is an idyllic setting in the small rural village of Neen Sollars, Shropshhire on the Worcestershire border. The river Rea flows through the village and there is a good pub - The Live and let Live. where good food is served daily (this is about 5 minutes walk from the barn). The historic towns of Bewdley (9 miles East), Ludlow (11 miles West), the market town of Tenbury Wells (6 miles) the Severn Valley Stream Railway, the Wyre Forest, the glorious romantic ruin of Witley Court (English Heritage) and its famous Baroque Church, Hartlebury Castle and Burford Gardens are just some of the attractions of the area.The Hop Barn is a detached mellow brick cottage imaginatively converted from old outbuildings that predate the owners' adjacent Victorian house. Hop clad beams complement the lovely wood floor in the spacious open plan living area above the attractive beamed bedrooms and newly refurbished bathroom. There is a very efficient wood-burner in the living room and logs are provided. The kitchen has recently been refitted with solid pine cupboards painted in Shaker style and there is a new build under electric oven/grill and gas hob, along with fridge/freezer and microwave.There is ample parking beside the cottage. Visitors are invited to make use of our large and beautifully landscaped garden. There is a small balcony, a BBQ and garden furniture, table tennis table, badminton set and boules for your convenience.
