There is immediate access from the garden to beautiful countryside for walking, such as Mortimer's Trail. The attractive historic market towns of Leominster, Ludlow and Presteigne are nearby and each has an excellent music and arts festival during the summer. Croft Castle and Berrington Hall (NT) and numerous spectacular gardens open to the public all make Herefordshire a lovely place to explore.
