Why not consider Ross on Wye. An excellent base for The Brecon Beacons, The Forest of Dean and exploring the Wye Valley. You can use our home as your base.

The house comprises of a fully fitted kitchen (sorry no dishwasher), comfortable living / dining room, upstairs consists of 1 double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. Outside there is a decked garden for the summer evenings with garden furniture. Behind the property there is 1 car park spot. The house is located no more than a 10 minute walk from the town centre of Ross on Wye.

Ross on Wye.......is the last town in England before you reach the Welsh border. Ross is a picturesque market town sat above the River Wye, renowned for its Antique shops and public houses!!

The Forest of Dean........is just south of Ross on Wye, 20 - 40mins depending where you are going within the Forest. Check out the links below for plenty to do.

The Wye Valley..........offers some great river walks. There is also a water-sports centre, Symonds Yat, Goodrich Castle and Tintern Abbey all within easy access.

Brecon Beacons........ Approx. 30mins to Abergavvenny, the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Black Mountains offer some challenging walks with rewarding views, the highest peak being Pen Y Fan which is just outside the town of Brecon.

We have a selection of walking books and maps within the house for The Wye Valley, The Forest of Dean and The Brecon Beacons which you are more than welcome to use. Just bring your boots!!!!

The house has almost everything you need for a short break. There is a small TV with built in DVD & IPod dock so you are able to bring your own entertainment.
