Apple Bough, formerly a granary and a cider mill built with local red brick, has been converted into a gorgeous holiday cottage. Lying within the farmhouse walled garden, surrounded by apple blossom, flower filled borders and lavender hedges. The cottage has wonderful views over farmland looking towards Aconbury woods and Ridge hill.

The cottage is reached by a newly tarmac drive, with ample parking space leading to a large stone patio with hand pump and trough, wooden tables and chairs and flower filled tubs.

Enter Apple Bough up a gentle slope with handrails into a large green oak wood and brick porch leading to a large lounge and dining room, furnished with a leather suite and light wood and glass dining table and matching chairs, a TV (with inbuilt Radio) with separate DVD (CD/MP3/etc) player are available for guests. Books, magazines, DVDs, maps, guided walking tours and many Herefordshire leaflets are provided to help guests discover Herefordshire's secrets.

Oak flooring and quality fabrics compliment the décor. The kitchen has maple wood units, hidden behind unit doors are a wash/drier, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer. Plus an electric cooker with hob and microwave. The kitchen is equipped to the highest standard, everything for the most determined cook!

Leading from the lounge is a downstairs double bedroom and adjoining large wet room shower, toilet and wash basin. Rails are fitted for less able and wheelchair guests, no shower tray just non-slip flooring sloping to a drain, plus a shower seat (this section has been specifically designed for wheelchair guests, with respect to the wet room/door frames/etc).

Upstairs, the double room has an Oak four-poster king-sized bed, ample wardrobe space, soft furnishings in lavender toile material, and panoramic views from each window. The twin bedded room with oak beamed ceiling, quality furniture and a chesterfield seating area and TV, has great views towards Dinedor hill. The rooms share a large shower room, toilet and wash basin. Power showers offer an invigorating water jet. The beds have posture sprung mattress, white linen and designer quilts matching window dressings.

The cottage is heated by a combi Worcester boiler with heat controlled radiators.

www.leftbank.co.uk - The Left Bank Village, a recent addition to Hereford, has a specialist shopping village, restaurant, bar, and conference centre on one site. Left Bank have events like black tie, and themed evenings.

www.nationaltrust.org.uk - People of all ages are members of the National Trust, who own many beauty spots and fine houses. The Weir, a tranquil waterside woodland west of Hereford is National Trust-owned.

GRAFTON VILLA drive leads off the A49 HEREFORD/ROSS-ON-WYE Road, two miles south of HEREFORD City, when leaving the city you travel along some flat open farmland, the first building on the right is the Grafton Inn, 120 yards past is the farm drive, also on the right. Ref. 214098. We are approximately 1/4 miles away from the Mercedes and Rover garages travelling from Ross or Monmouth direction.
