The Threshing Barn is on the slopes of the Malvern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a magnificent Grade II Listed, oak timber framed building. Its renovation was completed in 2000 to the highest architectural and environmental conservation standards. This beautiful barn retains the unique spaciousness and tranquillity of the original timber building. The grand hall dinning/sitting room has furniture made from the old barn timbers and hand made felt rugs on the under floor heated flagstones. There is a south facing, wide glazed walkway running the whole length of the barn with 3 double doors leading out onto the secluded, private stone walled patio garden. From here there are views of the Malvern Hills and the sounds of the adjacent stream. The highly individual oak fitted kitchen is beautifully made and fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, stainless steel double oven, hob with extractor and microwave. There is a shower room and toilet on the ground floor with wheelchair access. The lounge has 4 sofas, 2 of which make up into single beds or a double bed. There are TV, DVD, and video and music centre facilities. The old threshing floor on the first floor has been used to create a beamed bedroom with antique pine furniture. It has an en-suite bathroom and beds can be made up as a king size double or 2 large singles. Excellent rail links exist to Birmingham and London via Colwall village station. There are many lovely gardens and historic houses to explore and enjoy in this unspoilt corner of England Worcester, Hereford, Gloucester and Cheltenham are approximately half and hour away by car, making the barn an ideal base for many festivals including the Three Choirs, Cheltenham: Racing, Literature and Music festivals. More locally there is the increasingly popular Ledbury Poetry, Malvern Theatres and Upton Jazz Festivals and the Elgar Trail as well as all the events at the Three Counties Show Ground.
