Bremen's Barn is perhaps most unusual in the fact that it is largely upside-down! The living area, kitchen and dining areas are upstairs, along with bedroom 4. The remaining three bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the ground floor comfortably accommodating up to 9 people. Bedroom 1. A large double bedroom with a good quality double bed with curtained canopy, antique pine drawers, bedside cabinets and a mirror which has been converted from an old sash window. Bedroom 4. On the left is a very pretty double bedroom with a beautiful truss just in front of the back wall and a Velux Window. There is also thick set pine and tiled mirror, antique chest of old pine drawers and a soft chair. The floor has a rug and polished floorboards. Bathroom. Past the stairs and down the hall is the bathroom, which is beautifully decorated with some pictures from the Pears Soap archives! It's very warm and has a beamed ceiling. It's perfect for a quiet and relaxing soak in the bath! Staircase & Landing. The staircase leading from the entrance hall, doubles back on itself and at the top is a landing with an unusual antique cabinet from Japan. On your right at the top of the stairs, set in the middle of a large roof truss is a large old pine door. When you open this, you walk into a spacious and open area, split by two trusses, which again, can bewalked through. They provide the three divisions for the kitchen, living room and dining room. The Kitchen. Handmade by a local craftsman in re-claimed pine. There is a cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge (all in matching dark green), and a Bosch dishwasher. On the wall, is a large antique pine cupboard. The Dining Room. Has two antique tables, each with four chairs, which can be arranged to suit your requirements, or left separately for that perfect adults/children split that may be welcomed after a long day! The Sitting Room. Is placed in-between both of the old trusses and is most unusual. It has a lovely old pine carved church pew, a small and surprisingly comfortable fireside chair, two sofas and another soft chair. There are also a couple of old Elm stools. In addition to the central heating a Morso cast iron stove has been fitted. It's a great area to sit and relax, or alternatively you may chose to stand with your head out of one of the Velux Windows, admire the view and enjoy the beautiful fresh air!
