The Maltings Cottage is very large, it used to be three maltings cottages now all re-built as one. It is ideally suited for 2 families or friends who wish to get together for a weekend or week(s). It dates back some hundreds of years, but has been re-built. The garden is vast, with some 2 acres of orchard, lawns and woods. It is at the very end of a tiny lane where 2 cars cannot pass without backing up. It is totally secluded and quiet. Two double bedrooms, one twin room and the bathroom are upstairs, with one twin room downstairs complete with its own sink and near a downstairs loo. This room leads straight out to the garden via french windows. There is a very large lounge with log fire, and a 'snug' also with log fire, TV & Video. Adjoining the snug is a dining room which will seat up to10. There is also a play room with toys for the kids. Many modern "mod cons" are missing like washing machine / dishwasher, but there is ample freezer space and a fridge. The cottage is on well water, with a UV purification system, but in very hot dry spells, one must be careful not to run dry. Stowmarket is nearby with Leisure centre and good shopping, Haughley village is within walking distance. There are many lovey pubs (with good food) and good restaurants in the area. The rent depends on the time of year, number of guests, ranging from around £500.- £800 per week and £170.00 - £200 for weekends. In addition there is £100.00 returnable deposit against damage and breakages. No extras for electricity. The Maltings offers 2 double (1 with washbasin), 2 twin (1 with washbasin), main bathroom upstairs, extra WC downstairs, large lounge, dining room, snug, playroom, kitchen and offers a wonderful get away from it all break for weekends or full weeks.
