A charming brick and flint cottage in the centre of historic Little Walsingham, offering comfortable, relaxing accommodation near the beautiful North Norfolk coast. The Old Coach House is an attractive and cosy period cottage, modernised and decorated to a high standard. The accommodation consists of a comfortable living room with wood burning stove, and an integral kitchen equipped with modern appliances, including a dishwasher. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and a shower/bathroom, with a second WC downstairs. There is a small garage within the cottage, central heating, and a leafy enclosed courtyard garden with table and chairs. Popular with regular guests, including visitors to the Walsingham shrines and lovers of the North Norfolk coast, countryside and wildlife, the cottage is VisitBritain 4 star rated. The main living area, with its solid oak floor, has a freestanding wood burner, and consists of a comfortable lounge and dining area, with a pull-out table which can seat 4-6. Within the lounge area is a flat screen TV, video and DVD players, and an audio system. There is also selection of books, videos and dvds, games, maps and other local information. The compact kitchen area, which provides a surprising amount of storage, leads from the corner of the dining area. Here you will find the electric oven/hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. There is a freezer in the living room broom cupboard. The back door leads to a delightful, enclosed courtyard garden, with table and 4 chairs. The integral garage is can be entered from the hallway, and contains a washer and dryer. There is a downstairs WC/basin across the hall. Upstairs the character of the original building is preserved with exposed beams and sloping ceilings. The main bedroom contains a 4’6’’ iron bedstead with side table, wardrobe, and a sofa. The second double bedroom has an antique 4’6’’ iron bed, a large chest of drawers and wardrobe. Finally, the bathroom sneaks under the eaves a small bath with electric shower and a traditional hand basin and WC. As well as an extremely effective wood burner, The Old Coach House has electric central heating. All bed linen and basics such as kitchen and loo rolls and cleaning materials are provided. The village shops, two pubs, restaurant, tea rooms and historic sites, including the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and Slipper Chapel, are all within easy walking distance.
