The Carpenters Lodge is a self-contained extension to the owner's house and guests can also use the owner's heated swimming pool from Easter to mid-September.

The main lounge is spacious and airy under the pitched barn-like roof, having an open fire, oak flooring, colour TV etc. There are two settees and a 3 seat sofa bed which converts to a full sized double bed.

To one end of the lounge are double doors leading to the dining room with an 8ft pine dining table and 6 chairs. Large French doors lead out to the front entrance area and the private rear pool/patio area. The dining room can also be used as a separate bedroom with the double sofa bed and/or a single futon bed. At the other end of the lounge a staircase leads to the mezzanine floor (main bedroom) which has a double bed, chest of drawers, and views over the pool and surrounding countryside.

From the lounge you enter the fitted kitchen which includes fridge, electric cooker, kettle etc. The kitchen opens to the rear hallway where there is an adjoining small bathroom, containing WC, basin & mirror and a separate shower cubicle with an electric shower. The rear door leads out to the swimming pool and patio area.

Outside there is ample parking space at the front of the property and to the side/rear a very private patio area surrounding the swimming pool. A new courtyard/outside living area has just been added, and this includes a paved area, canal water feature, and decked eating area.

The remaining grounds are the owner's private gardens. The Carpenters Lodge is at the end of Norton Hill and is surrounded by open countryside/farmland with footpaths to the village and beyond.

The Area

Snettisham is a West Norfolk coastal village close to the Sandringham Royal Estate, Hunstanton, the beautiful coastline of NW Norfolk, and the historic market town of King's Lynn.

The village has a range of local shops & amenities (butchers, general stores, newsagents and post office), a BYO restaurant, and three pubs all serving food (including the well-known 'Rose & Crown'). There is a half hourly bus service running to Hunstanton & King's Lynn, which has good rail connections to Ely, Cambridge & London.

The NW Norfolk area has a wide range of attractions and natural beauty and the accommodation is an ideal base for visiting Sandringham, Norfolk Lavender, Holkham Hall, the RSPB reserves at Snettisham & Titchwell and the beautiful coastline and dunes of North Norfolk.

There are many interesting villages, shops and activities in the area and a wealth of restaurants, pubs and fast food establishments in the locality to cater for all tastes and budgets! The Norfolk Broads, Norwich & Cambridge are also in easy reach for day trips.

Children welcome; 'Z' bed available, cot possible by request. Maximum occupancy: 5 persons (+ baby). Duvets, bed linen, & pillows provided; guests to provide own towels etc. Garden/patio furniture and BBQ available for guest use. Laundry facilities can be arranged with the owner. Non returnable booking deposit of £50 to be paid on confirmation of booking; balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to occupancy. £50 damage deposit to be paid in advance by cheque - refundable 10 days after stay. High season changeover day, Saturday. Arrive 4.00pm, Depart by 11.00 am.
