Bosun’s Rest is a delightful flint cottage tucked away down a quiet, private “loke” in the very heart of the unspoilt village of Blakeney, on the North Norfolk Coast. An old fisherman’s cottage, it is a stone’s throw from the Quay, and has been lovingly renovated. The light airy rooms, wonderful log burning stove, fluffy towels and crisp cotton sheets, all combine to create the perfect relaxing atmosphere with a touch of luxury. The sitting room is beautifully furnished with a squashy sofa and armchair around an original fireplace with wood burning stove. There is also a TV, video/DVD and CD player, a selection of books, games, videos, CDs and DVDs. There is also a payphone for your use. The hand-painted kitchen is well equipped with fridge with freezer compartment, cooker with extractor hood, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave etc. The wooden staircase leads onto the landing bedroom with vaulted ceiling. There is an antique pine bed and room for a further single bed, which is stored in the cottage, and/or a cot. A door leads into the tastefully furnished double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and small decorative fireplace. Both bedrooms are made up with fine bed linen and a hairdryer is supplied. The period bathroom has a cast iron roll top bath with shower attachment, lavatory and wash basin. Fresh bath towels are provided (but please bring your own beach towels). We also provide our guests with luxurious soaps and bubble bath handmade for the Cottage by The Natural Soap Company in nearby Wells next the Sea.
