Outside there is a pretty garden with seating and barbeque and a mere 100 yards down the lane the River Nene awaits you for riverside walks and perhaps a spot of angling or birdwatching. The surrounding countryside is flat making it ideal for recreational cyclists or walkers and being situated on the borders of Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire there is no shortage of places of interest to visit. There are many golf courses within any easy drive and just 25 minutes drive away a recreational airfield can offer you the thrill of a trial flying lesson in a light aircraft from just £35. The legendary architecture of Ely is within easy reach together with the delights of the Peter Scott walk and even a butterfly and birds of prey park. If you don't go home with a list of places you hadn't time to visit you really weren't trying!
