The Old Wesleyan Chapel is located in the heart of a peaceful ‘chocolate box’ village, near the market town of Newark in Nottinghamshire within England’s Midlands.

The chapel is luxurious, spacious yet intimate, well equipped and stylish all rolled into one: An ideal setting to provide a fantastic holiday for the family/group up to 8 people or a couple looking for a romantic and idyllic break.

The chapel was originally a schoolhouse with one wing built in 1857 and the other over 100 years ago, it now represents the height of luxury with a combination of original features such as exposed beams, old school radiators and large arched windows combined with contemporary features offering a modern and stylishly functional and comfortable lifestyle.

At the heart of the chapel is the large comfortable open plan living, dining and kitchen area. There are extensive seating arrangements around an open fire providing a fantastic focal point arranged around it. Antique furniture, contemporary artwork and oriental rugs complete the tastefully decorated and arranged living area. Entertainment is provided with TV, full Sky satellite package and DVD and a playstation 2 with games. A small library in both this room and one the bedrooms offers a good cross section of reading material to suit all tastes.

The kitchen is modern in design with all the high quality appliances you may need. A utility room houses some of the kitchen appliances and includes a large double door American fridge freezer with ice dispenser for those ‘hot’ summer days relaxing in the secluded and totally private rear courtyard garden.

The special ‘penthouse master suite', some 35’ long, is accessed up the stairs, which were built partly from reclaimed church furniture. This expansive bedroom covers the full first floor of one wing of the chapel with vaulted ceiling and exposed original beams. A highest quality double sprung king size mattress will ensure a good nights sleep in the romantic setting. The bedroom also has it’s own living area with 2 and 3 seater leather settees, TV and video. Antique furniture and reclaimed wooden doors to the 8 built in wardrobes complete the setting. Adjustable spotlights will help enhance the atmosphere. Off the bedroom is a high quality en-suite bathroom with king size bath.

Further sleeping accommodation is provided with three double bedrooms accessed from the spacious ground floor hallway, which has a further seating area and antique furniture.

All bedrooms are light and airy with original arched church windows. Each bedroom is uniquely and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings.

A stylish ground floor bathroom is situated on the ground floor with shower, basin, bidet and WC. Egyptian cotton towels and bed linen will be provided at no extra charge.

A private and peaceful Japanese courtyard garden with bamboo and exotic plants provides a great place to either relax in or entertain. A barbeque is provided for afternoon al fresco dining or evening outdoor events. There is a pagoda with seating arrangements and table for up to 10 people. If cooking is not for you, just saunter down to the village pub less than 400 yards away and take advantage of the fine fare and ales on offer.
