Lincolnshire, England''s second largest county, had vastly contrasting scenery, and Poacher''s Hideaway is situated in the heart of the Wolds. Think Cotswolds and you have what we think is the yet to be discovered East of England look-alike. The Wolds, soft rolling chalk hill, deep wooded sheltered valleys, meandering streams (Tennyson''s famous brook is nearby), sleepy villages, breathtaking views, but above all in this unspoilt part of England, no major motorways or busy main roads, just miles and miles of quiet lanes. This is truly an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and in the middle of this is Poacher''s Hideaway tucked away along a mile of private road, it is the perfect spot in which to relax and unwind. Acres of rolling countryside open up to be explored by car, bicycle or on foot. This is also an ideal place for quiet hacking and nearby is a livery yard, from which horses/ponies may be hired. Despite being a serene retreat, Poacher''s Hideaway is 5 miles from Horncastle, an antiques hunters paradise. The market town of Louth is 9 miles away and both towns boast an abundance of shops, pubs and excellent restaurants. The historic city of Lincoln is 30 miles away. Cadwell Park motor racing circuit is only 2 miles away. Closer to home our guests can enjoy a quiet stroll to the Bluebell pub and restaurant.
