Location

Situated 6 miles east of the Historic City of Lincoln is Stainton By Langworth, a small Hamlet in which lies Church Farm House and its Cottage.

The Cottage is entirely self contained and is accessed via its own private driveway.

The property is located on Lincolnshire’s Cycle Route One, a quiet single track road which is used for local access only.

The Lincolnshire Coast is within 35 miles with its unspoiled beaches and busy coastal resorts.

The Lincolnshire Wolds (conservation area) is within a few miles of the property as are the historic market towns of Louth and Horncastle.

Local villages within walking or cycling reach provide a variety of fine pubs for family entertainment.

Post office and general store within 1 mile.

Facilities

The cottage is well equipped with all modern amenities (dishwasher, coffee maker. Ceramic hob, washing machine/dryer, microwave, fridge, freezer etc) and has been equipped with full disabled access. Central heating.

Bed Linen (duvets) and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels for the seaside / pool. Bedding is also available for the cot or you may prefer to bring your own.

-     Garden of around ¼ acre in total comprising.

Places of local Interest

The historic City of Lincoln boasts a fine medieval centre and has both a magnificent Cathedral and Castle. In December, the City hosts a renowned Christmas Market but all year round it offers some fine architecture, shopping, museums, theatre and restaurants.

The Lincolnshire Wolds is nationally renowned for its fauna and flora and provides an impressive backdrop for walkers, cyclists, and motorists.

The Lincolnshire Coastline boasts some of Europe’s best “blue flag” beaches (Sutton on Sea) where safety (shallow shelving beach) and clean sands combine to provide excellent facilities for the family. In addition, popular resorts such as Skegness provide a full range of more traditional seaside fun.

Lots of places of local interest including Farm park and Falconry Centre. 

General Information

Cycling

Cycles are available should you require them with child seats. Let us know if you will wish to use these and the ages of any children in order that we can prepare them. A small charge is made to cover the cost of upkeep and tyres.

Baby sitting can be arranged should you wish to go out for the evening.

Horses

Horses welcome, we have ample grazing and there are lots of bridleways.

Pets

Dogs and well behaved pets welcome (note : livestock in adjacent fields). Not in bedrooms and not to be left unattended. We have outside stables which can be used as kennels. Please do not allow pets on the furniture or in the bedrooms.

Barbeque

We have a gas barbeque available should you require this. We make a small charge to cover the cost of gas cylinders.

Chickens

We have free range chickens in the paddock and you are welcome to visit them. We keep all table scraps (excluding chicken) and feed them to the chickens, you are welcome to do the same. Just remember, do not feed the after mid day as this could mean food sitting around on the ground at night which attracts vermin.

Horses

There are three horses in the paddock, Beauty, Fred and Flora. Please stay out of the fenced areas as whilst they are friendly they are large animals and can kick.

Walking

We have a wild flower meadow on Scothern Lane and a  tree plantation running to some 30 acres. You are more than welcome to walk this land and we have provided footpaths to allow you to do this away from livestock. Dogs can be safely walked off the lead.
