High Peak Cottage is situated in the Derwent Valley, near the village of Cromford. It overlooks Cromford Canal and has lovely views. The valley is now a World Heritage Site and there are interesting industrial archeological sites to visit, such as Arkwright's Mill - the very first factory!

Situated on the southern approach to the Peak District National Park, the cottage is a convenient touring base with off-road walks and cycle trail from the door. Magnificent Chatsworth House, Haddon and Kedleston halls and market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne are within easy reach.
This row of stone cottages was originally five houses built for railway workers in the mid 19th Century. We have converted it into two comfortable cottages and we live next door.
There is:-
- a cosy beamed lounge with a wood burning stove (some logs provided)
- a roomy dining kitchen
- Two pretty bedrooms, one double and one twin
- Bathroom with shower and heated towel rail
- all your bed linen, fuel and power (included in the price) and you can hire towels from us. All overseas visitors are provided with towels.
- We welcome children over the age of ten, it isn't suitable for young children.
- ample off road parking close to the property.
