Our 28’ Tudor Ambassadeur Static comprises a double and a twin bedroom. The twin also features an optional drop down bunk, suitable for a child. The dining area can be converted to form a second double bed. The lounge has a colour TV and gas fire and the kitchen has ample cupboards, sink and drainer.
The caravan sits in its own private area in a small orchard in the grounds of our 200-year-old cottage, about 30 metres from the Limestone Way, an old drovers route that extends from Castleton in the north; south to Matlock and beyond.
Our local, ‘The Anglers Rest’, just down the hill, has a good selection of beers and wines and serves excellent food. Nearby is a small church with services on alternate Sundays. There are no shops in Millers Dale but Tideswell (Cathedral of the Peak), two miles away, provides a good range of shops, restaurants, pubs and churches. Other shops can be found in Buxton (6 miles) or Bakewell (7 miles).
Guests have the use of the orchard with garden furniture and a barbeque.
There is vehicular access to the caravan via the Limestone Way, an unmade road. Private parking, approximately 400 meters from the caravan, is available at the front of our cottage. Access for people with disabilities is difficult.
