A three hundred year old, stone built, grade II listed property with a four star English Tourist Board grading in Middleton by Wirksworth in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. With access to stunning scenery and country walks, this cottage offers peace and tranquility from everyday life. The Village offers access to a number of great holiday activities for everyone. Local facilities include two pubs, one of which serves food all year round. There is also a Post Office two hundred yards away, which carries a selection of groceries and newspapers. Within a short walk of the Cottage, you reach the High Peak Trail, a dissused railway, now a track used by cyclists, walkers and horse riders. A ten minute drive takes you to Carsington Water, offering water sports, cycling, birdwatching and a restaurant over looking the reservoir and the surrounding area. The town of Wirksworth nestles below Middleton providing shops, restaurants, sports facilities and is also home to the Wirksworth Heritage Centre. A drive slightly further a field takes you to the small towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock, allowing you to sample further delights of the Peak District and its heritage. The cottage is ideally situated for many family attractions including, Gullivers Theme Park, Alton Towers, Crich Tramway Village, The Heights of Abraham and many more. The facilities at the cottage include one double bedroom and an airy and spacious twin bedded attic room. The wood beamed living romm has a wood burning stove, colour television with video and stereo. The kitchen is fully equiped with cooker, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. The cottage also benifits from gas central heating. A high chair and stairgate are also provided. The cottage is available for rental all year, including Christmas and New Year.
