This cottage has recently been converted to provide spacious accommodation on the edge of this popular village, at the same time having good access to some excellent local village facilities. At the gateway to the Hope Valley, The Pennine Way is a short drive away in Edale, and walks exist along side the nearby River Derwent or explore the caves in Castleton, the country houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall being a short drive. You enter the cottage through the stable door into the spacious lounge (and dining area) with its imposing gritstone fireplace and inset gas coal effect fire - ceramic floor tiles and occasional rugs add further to the rooms charm. A door leads through to the fully equipped and co-ordinated kitchen with plenty of storage and a full set of equipment essential for your stay - there is an occasional breakfast bar, the tiled flooring having been continued through into this room. The stairs from the lounge lead to the 2 bedrooms, the main bedroom, being a good size with its imposing four poster bed, the 2nd bedroom having 2 single beds. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, with shower, hand basin and toilet. Fabrics and furnishings have been carefully selected and co-ordinated to give the accommodation plenty of style and character throughout. There is a patio sitting out area for guests, and a garden will be available shortly, both areas taking in the sun for the majority of the days. Nearby river fishing is available for visitors by separate arrangement/fee direct with the owner on booking the accommodation.
