This delightful rural village, being one of the highest in the Peak Park is an ideal and unspoilt location with excellent walking from which to explore the many attractions the National Park has to offer. A short drive takes you to the historic spa town of Buxton with its recently refurbished opera house and the nearby market town of Bakewell. The historic Magpie Mines near Sheldon, and the strip fields with dry stone walls a trademark of the area which surround the village. A gravelled drive takes you to the barn and adjacent cottage which adjoins the owners property, which has been recently renovated to provide character accommodation. You enter the barn into the very spacious and well equipped and fitted dining kitchen, with the beamed ceiling giving this room plenty of charm and character. Off this room is the lounge with further beams and a gritstone fireplace with decorative inset fire. There is a small study off the lounge, with occasional chair bed which can be used as a third bedroom if required (suitable for one person). The stairs from the kitchen lead to the bedrooms, both with vaulted ceilings and further exposed beams, the main bedroom having a double bed, the second bedroom having two single beds and one pull out bed.The bathroom has a bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet. Gardens to the front and rear of the property and plenty of parking.
