It forms part of a 350 year old stone Welsh Longhouse and is situated on the outskirts of Reynoldston, near to many local amenities and beaches. The farmhouse nestles into Cefn Bryn, open common land with sheep and horses grazing. Cefn Bryn is the highest point in Gower which on a clear day affords 360 degree stunning views, taking in Pembrokeshire to the west, Swansea Bay and up a far as the Brecon Beacons. The Gower Peninsular with its spectacular coastline and unspoilt countryside was designated the first Area of Outstanding Beauty. Much of the Peninsular is owned by the National Trust, who have a centre located at Rhosilli. The Peninsular, measuring some 19 miles by 5 miles is an ideal base for: sightseeing; walking; blueflag beaches; birdwatching; all sorts of water sports including wind & board surfing, canoeing, fishing, sailing; golf; culture and heritage; theatres and festivals and many gardens. The area is well served by country pubs and restaurants: The local pub - The King Arthur is 8 minutes walk away and has a restaurant; Fairy Hill which boast a national reputation is 3minuite drive or 10 minute walk away; The post office a short stroll away is licensed and provides basic provisions; a mini market is located at Knelston and Llanrhidian, both of which provide a comprehensive range of good including fresh bread, fire wood, fuel and cash machine. The traditional fishing village of Mumbles has a vibrant atmosphere with cafe bars, restaurants, interesting shops, art galleries, water sports on the sea front, the pier, childrens play area and a cycle path hugging the coast line to Swansea. 4 Golf courses are located within a 20 minute drive of the Granary and a 9 hole municipal course is located on the sea front in Swansea.
