Rhowniar is situated midway between the resorts of Tywyn and Aberdovey, set in its own grounds overlooking the sea.

The house built in 1910, has recently been refurbished, with its timber paneling and exposed flooring restored.

Accommodation

Accommodation is spacious and the house can sleep up to 14 people. There are three double en suite bedrooms, two double bedrooms, two twin bunk rooms and two bathrooms. With ample space for everyone throughout, there are sitting rooms, a study, a dining room, kitchen, snooker room, garden room and spacious halls and landings.

The kitchen is fitted with a modern electric and gas cooker range, dishwasher and washing machine.

The Grounds

A large drying room is available in the yard for those wet suits, sailing gear, buckets and spades etc. There is plenty of space for cars, trailers and water sports equipment.

The house is set in woodlands and has terraced lawned gardens to the front.

A stream runs through part of the woods and unusual water garden plants and trees can be seen along side.

Visitors are free to enjoy the woodland and garden areas but are asked to respect the wildlife and dogs should be kept under control.

Location

Rhowniar is well situated for the nearby sandy beaches at Aberdovey and Tywyn, which is also the home of the famous Tal-y-llyn narrow gauge railway. Also nearby is the beautiful Dovey valley, the Dysyni valley with broad water and Bird Rock.
