Above the small, peaceful town of Llanfair Caereinion, in Powys (‘Paradise of Wales’), terminus of a famous "little train of Wales", past Saint Mary’s Well and the old church, rolling hills stretch west towards the wild mountains of Gwynneth. Near the crest of one of them, three miles from Llanfair Caereinion, stands a restored and WTB 3-star rated farmhouse set in an isolated location with magnificent views. This is Rhiwhiriaeth Uchaf, the "house on the long ridge". It’s the perfect place for families, couples, individuals and their pets to "get away from it all."

The cottage offers accommodation for 6 + 2 holidaymakers and is fully equipped to Welsh Tourist Board 3-star standard, with additional items like video-recorder and microwave. Pets are allowed.

The accommodation has the benefit of storage heaters, which are recharged at night. Additionally, all bedrooms, the living room and the kitchen have convector heaters, which are connected to the electricity meter. Externally, there is uncovered parking space for two cars, a large lawn and wooded area and a number of walks starting from the cottage’s front door across beautiful country.

Bookings are normally made from Saturday to Saturday. Between October and March, however, weekend or mid-week bookings can be accepted. Please note the availability of weeks before deciding on a date.

Storage heaters are included in the fee but other electricity is supplied through a card meter. We do not supply bed linen.
