The two holiday cottages are a converted stone granary (two bedrooms) and an 18th century cottage (three bedrooms, two bathrooms) situated on a remote and peaceful smallholding. This is a mile from the nearest neighbour, high on the edge of open moorland in the heart of red kite country, surrounded by RSPB reserves of wooded valleys and heather clad hillsides. The holding (with sheep, cow, poultry and sometimes pigs) is 6 miles from the small market town of Rhayader and 1.5 miles from Ideally situated for walking, mountain biking, fishing, birdwatching and nature lovers generally: walks and trails literally start from the doorstep (with maps, bike shed and washing facilities all provided). Both properties have been sympathetically modernised and renovated preserving their original character. They are very well equipped including TV, video, microwave, dishwasher (cottage only) and wood burning stoves with central heating and bed linen and towels provided. Logs, electricity and oil are all inclusive. Pure spring water on tap, plus home produced, organically grown vegetables, soft fruit, eggs, honey and meat are available (according to season). Children are well catered for both inside and out, including sandpit, swing, games room with snooker and table tennis, friendly farm animals, and lots of space. A cot and high chair are available.
