Caban Cariad was imported from Sweden (where else?) in 1973, and has been refurbished in 2005 with fab furnishings that celebrate the best in 1960s and 1970s design. Genuine designer pieces have been mixed with mod cons such as a digital TV/DVD, contemporary pebble fire etc. So its 1970s groovy, not 1970s grim!

Where? Caban Cariad is nestled in the trees at Penlan woodland holiday village in Cenarth on the border between Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire (Click for Map). It is a very quiet, quality holiday village of privately owned cabins carefully landscaped into acres of woods. Good pub food (serving fresh sewin and salmon) is just a short walk, as are the famous water-falls in the village.
