TanRhald-bella Holiday cottage is situated on the magnificent Isle of Anglesey. It sits under Parys mountain and the scenic views of the valley can be viewed from the garden and lounge room. Unlike many cottages in Anglesey TanRhald-bella cottage is one of the oldest in the village which we can date back to a Sea Captain in the 1840 census. The Anglesey cottage has been modernised and renovated to include double glazing throughout, but still has its old world charm.

The wonderful Isle of Anglesey has spectacular coastline which spreads out over 100 miles. The World Heritage has classified the Isle of Anglesey as an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” which really reflects its true form. Renting cottages in Isle of Anglesey offers holiday makers a relaxing and leisurely holiday, which can be hard to find these days.

“Croeso” which is the welsh word for welcome, is commonly used to describe this friendly and charismatic island where you can explore the flora a fauna or take advantage of the many leisure facilities on the isle of Anglesey. The Isle of Anglesea is the perfect place to leave all your stress behind you and is a perfect family destination.

Anglesey (often mis-spelt as “Ilse of Anglesea” or “Iles of Anglesy” and is not to be mistaken with any of the channel islands) has some of the most beautiful finest beaches in Wales. Some of our beaches have even gained the famous “Blue Flag”. The beaches are safe and ideal for family fun, while other sport enthusiasts such as walkers, cyclists, fisherman and golfers are also well taken care of in their areas.

In the evening many of our local pubs serve food made from our local farms or if you prefer you can use our well-maintained kitchen and purchase ingredients from any of our local markets or villages to make your own food.

Inside of the Cottage in Anglesey

Awarded with the Welsh tourist board’s 4 star rating you can feel confident that Tanrhald-bella cottage will meet your expectations while on your holiday or vacation.

Amenities:

• Entrance porch, washing machine and cloak cupboard.
• Kitchen which has exposed beams and is fully fitted with a breakfast bar and full-sized cooker with a ceramic top and hood. Also has a microwave, slim-line dishwasher and a fridge with freezing compartment.
• Garden/Dining Room which overlooks the paddock. This room has a cane three-piece suite, dining table and 4 chairs. The table shuts down to a smaller size, allowing more room for the children to play.
• Lounge – again, with the original exposed beams, the open staircase leads to the upper floor which is heated by a wrought iron oil fired stove in inglenook (which makes the lounge very warm and cozy). The lounge also has a three piece suite and a colour TV.
• To the right of the kitchen there is a twin-bedded room which has a wardrobe and dressing table; a downstairs bathroom with full size bath and washbasin with an overhead shower.
• Upstairs there is a twin bedroom with small fitted-wardrobe and dressing table. A double bedroom with fitted wardrobe and antique furniture. Both of the rooms overlook the scenic paddock. The shower-room is also located upstairs which has a toilet, sink and electric shower. The heating for the upstairs bedrooms is by electric radiators.

A travel cot/crib is available on request.

There are many cottages in Anglesey, but few like TanRhald Bella which is situated in the cozy village of Penysarn which has a small shop selling daily newspapers among other things. Penysarn village has a post office and pub. A short distance away (just a few miles), there is a small market town of Amlwch which has a Safeways supermarket, chemists, banks and most other things you might need while you’re away – including an excellent butcher (near the church). Freshly baked bread can also be bought in the Amlwch village.

Outside of our Cottage in Anglesey

There is plenty off-road parking to the right and left of the property including a car port.

A private patio area is surrounded with shrubs. The garden furniture is ideal for sunbathing and lounger chairs are provided.

We have an paddock which is enclosed and approximately a quarter of an acre in size, providing the perfect area for children to play in a safe environment. Parents can sit back and relax while watching them from the garden or patio room.

Walking:

Experience the breath taking views of the sea cliffs and the tranquil environment provided by the flora and fauna. There are many walks, including the famous Parys mountain walking trail.

Cycling:

Designated rural cycle routes are located all around the cottage. The exact routes can be obtained from the local information centre (we do have some info in the cottage).

Fishing:

Llyn Alaw offers plenty of course fishing (although don’t forget you’ll need a license). Fishing off the rocks around the island is also popular. The nearest is at Moelfre which is just 3 miles away. Sea fishing is also popular and is available by charter. A number of professional guides can be found at the port of Amlwch.

Golf:

Remember to take your clubs! (although they can be hired if need be). There is a municipal course at Llangefni which is open to the public as well as Bull Bay Golf Club which is only about three miles away and welcomes visiting members.

Bird Watching:

There are many bird-watching sites on the island. From Parys Mountain, you can see buzzards flying every day from our garden room at TanRhald along with the many other birds which we see in our garden.

Active Sports:

For those that are more energetic, you can also windsurf, canoe or scuba dive. All are available within driving distance.
