Hawthorne Cottage is a traditional, typically Scottish, picturesque croft house which has been thoroughly modernised and re-furbished.

Facing the Morsgail River and accessed via a private road Hawthorn Cottage is secluded, yet an ideal base to visit all the visitor attractions on both Lewis and Harris it is also just a short distance from some of the famous Hebridean beaches.
 
Uig is home to Golden Eagles, they are often spotted on the hills behind Hawthorn Cottage, whilst the siloutte of Stags and Deer are a common site for those with a keen eye!
 
This self catering cottage has been refurbished and equipped with every convenience in mind and has a bright, very comfortable and stylish interior.

The kitchen is open plan with dining area and is equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. It offers access to the outside picnic bench and seating area from where you can view the river and the magnificent Harris Hills.

The living room includes a three piece suite, Sky TV, TV/VCR and DVD player.

The cottage has a large shower room/toilet. There are two bedrooms, one with double bed, one twin beds. Guests are supplied with all bed linen and towels.
 
The cottage is heated by wall paneling. Electricity is to be paid for by £1 coin meter
Outside there is a drying green and an inside drying room.
