Fairways Cottage has a twin-bedroom and a lounge with a sofa that converts to a single or double bed. Shower room with WC. The lounge (with colour TV) extends to a fully-equipped kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and all equipment for up to 4 guests. Each cottage opens onto decking where guests can relax within yards of the historic links of Prestwick GC, (scene of the first Open of 1860), with Royal Troon (2004 Open venue) in the distance. Fairways Cottage is one of three purpose-built units opened in May 2004 and constructed/equipped to the highest environmental and STB/VS standards. A washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board are available to serve all 3 cottages. Located 100 yards from the first tee, 200 yards from the beach and 500 yards from the many shops and restaurants of Prestwick Town. Easily reached from Prestwick airport (1 mile), Glasgow (40 minutes by road or 200 yards from Prestwick Town station), or 4 miles from Troon with fast ferries from Northern Ireland, this is the perfect location in which to stay for golf (tee times can be arranged), bowls, horse racing, genealogy and many other ways in which to relax (for example, exploring Burns country, visiting Culzean Castle, etc.). Equally, our location makes us ideal for those on business in Ayrshire, or further afield in Scotland or Northern England. Bookings are normally Saturday-to-Saturday, but we will be flexible if other bookings allow. The cottages will be serviced once during a stay of 7 days. All linen, towels and electricity included.
