The Summer House is a recently renovated farm cottage in a quiet peaceful location on an Organic Working Farm, which is on the outskirts of Whiting Bay, up above the village and beach. On the farm we raise Pedigree native Galloway Cattle and we also have the only flock on the island of rare breed Wensleydale Sheep. These produce wonderful lustre fleece, which we have processed into pure natural knitting wool and a selection of fabulous cuddly throws. A great souvenir to take back with you! The Farm overlooks Holy Isle and the Ayrshire Coast and is approximately one mile from the village and beach. Right on the doorstep are forest walks and tracks to try out a mountain bike or just enjoy a leisurely stroll. Glenashdale falls is a spectacular waterfall that can be accessed from the village or, by using the forestry tracks and making a longer walk. The golf course can be accessed by foot if you want to carry your clubs - only for the really keen I think! or just a short drive away. The cottage is tastefully fitted, comfortable and cosy and is open all year round with short breaks available in the winter season. We have electric central heating for all year round warmth and a fully fitted kitchen with everything you need for your stay. There are plenty of good places to eat in Whiting Bay - in fact the village is fast becoming the eating capital of the Island! with choices to suit all tastes.
