Janevale, a traditional semi-detached house, is situated within easy walking distance of Kirkcudbright town centre, harbour and all amenities. It caters comfortably for up to 6 people. The secluded sunny garden suitable for playing or relaxing has garden furniture.
On the ground floor there is a spacious entrance hall, off which is a bright sitting room with dining area. This room has a TV, video, DVD, games and books for visitors' use. Next to this is a double bedroom which looks out onto the garden. The compact but well equipped kitchen opens out to a patio area and the garden. Upstairs on the mid-landing is the bathroom and on the first floor is a further double bedroom, overlooking the garden. To the front is a twin bedded room suitable for children.
There is full gas central heating with a combi-boiler. All gas and electricity is included in the rental charge. The house also offers off-street parking, washing and drying facilities, locking outhouse for storing cycles, golf bags etc. Pets welcome by arrangement and sorry no smokers.
The house is ideally located for golfers, walkers, cyclists and for the gardening enthusiast there are many beautiful gardens and well stocked nurseries within easy reach. The River Dee, nearby, attracts a variety of wildfowl and visitors can take the opportunity to bird watch or simply stroll along its banks and enjoy the view.
Kirkcudbright is of historic and cultural interest with many attractions including its ancient High Street and colourful town houses. It is known and the 'Artists Town' and the home of E A Hornel, Broughton House, makes an interesting visit. In addition there is the Tolbooth Arts Centre, the Stewartry Museum and numerous galleries. The town has a good range of shops and several excellent restaurants. The harbour is still used by fishing boats while the marina caters for the recreational sailing craft. There are sandy beaches close by.
Kirkcudbright has an un-spoilt charm and offers a warm welcome to visitors.
