Drumaghinier and Mill Cottage are situated approximately 13 miles from the ferry and one mile from Blackwaterfoot. Both are located within a working hill farm and offer stunning views across the Shiskine Valley, Kilbrannan Sound and Jura. Each cottage has a double room and twin bedded rooms including the convenience of a downstairs bedroom and bathroom for the less able. All linen is provided and towels are available on request. There is a TV/video and stereo unit in each cottage along with a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer. Each has an efficient central heating system whilst Drumaghinier has the additional advantage of an open fire if required.
The gardens are private and secure for children and animals and there is ample car parking space beside each cottage. Pets are welcome provided they are kept under supervision. A telephone is available for emergencies. Water is supplied from a private source. Groceries can be ordered in advance and delivered.
Electricity is extra and the meter is read on arrival and departure. The cottages are available all the year round on a weekly basis but do check for offers during the off-season when special deals can be negotiated.
Departure should be by 10.30am and entry from 2.30pm onwards. Prior ferry booking for cars is essential through Caledonian MacBrayne.
The village of Blackwaterfoot offers a Post Office/general store, bakery, butcher/fishmonger, newsagents, hairdressers, bar and restaurants. There is a garage/petrol station and cycle hire. For your entertainment there are facilities for bowling, fishing, golf, riding, tennis, squash and swimming within the village and quad biking a short distance away.
