The Anchorage is situated in a row of Loch facing bungalows which run along the front of Minard village approximately mid-way between Inveraray (10miles) and Lochgilphead (15miles) on the main route leading to Campbeltown and the Mull of Kintyre.
It is in an area of outstanding, natural beauty, surrounded by hills and sea lochs, of interest particularly to those who enjoy nature and outdoor pursuits. there are a variety of scenic walks and forest trails throughout the area and higher ranges of hills nearby such as Cruachan and those at Crianlarich, Arrochar and Glencoe.
Fishing, diving and mountain biking are also popular pursuits in the area. The variety of attractions include places of historical interest, castles and standing stones and the gardens of Argyll are very special in spring and early summer, Crarae being only a short walk from the house.
For those who are competent in quiet water sports such as canoeing, windsurfing or sailing, Loch Fyne is accessible from the house.
The accommodation includes lounge with bed settee, a twin bedded room and a double room with space for cot or junior bed; there is also an ample private garden with patio and summer house. Pets are welcome and although the house is non smoking, guests are welcome to smoke in the summer house.
