Morvern View is an end-terrace Victorian house in the old part of Tobermory which is a conservation area. It is a few minutes walk from the Main Street with it’s restaurants, pubs and shops. Originally the Coastguard’s house, the property consists of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a laundry room on the top floor with views of the bay, Calve Island and Morvern. On the mezzanine floor, there is a large designer bathroom with an electric walk-in shower and a bath with a shower fitting. A utility room with washer drier, fridge and freezer is also situated on this floor. The designer kitchen is fully equipped with ceramic top cooker with fan oven, microwave, dish washer and fridge. The kitchen leads out to the conservatory which faces west getting the afternoon and evening sun. This looks out into a well established small garden full of many perennial plant. On the ground floor, there is a comfortable sitting room and a twin bedroom off the entrance hallway. The sitting room has an open coal fire which heats radiators, the towel rail in the bathroom and the water. There is also an electric immersion water heater and two electric radiators if required. The sitting room has satellite television and a VCR. The house sleeps up to six people. Sorry, no pets! Caledonian MacBrayne operate ferry services from Oban, Lochaline and Kilchoan.You can book the ferry from Oban. The bus service operates on the island between Tobermory and Craignure and Fionphort (where you cross to Iona) Portrainich Cottage is not on the bus route. You can hire a car on the island. I provide a brochure service for people coming to the island, and will send you a pack of over 30 leaflets and brochures of things to see and do on the island, including maps,ferry timetables, wildlife trips, Iona, whale watching trips, castles, places to eat, restaurants, cycling, fishing, golf, and many many more.
