Wilton is a traditional stone detached house thoughtfully renovated and modernised. With a panoramic view of the sea and Tobermory Bay, and offers a beautiful view on the Sound of Mull; situated in its own two-and-a-half acres of garden ground, Wilton is nevertheless easily accessible from Breadalbane St. Tobermory’s Main St. with its shops, restaurants and pubs is just a five minutes-walk away.The lounge is equipped with a double settee, four easy chairs, and colour tv, video player and a stereo-cassette-player.
The living room, also on ground floor, has a set of table and chairs; a digital piano is waiting for those who enjoy playing a little music.
Three double bedrooms, a spacious lounge, a living room with twin beds and a modern, fully equipped kitchen with large dining area offer plenty of space for families or holiday parties. A bathroom and a separate shower room are situated between the bedrooms upstairs. All rooms have central heating or electrical heating. All rooms are fully carpeted. Parking is on the property Wilton may be booked for any time of the year; the central heating and the double-glazing of all windows makes Wilton an excellent place for a winter holiday!
Wilton is an ideal base to explore the island from, there are many walks around Tobermory,one takes along the coast to the lighthouse and up over the golf course where the views to Ardnamurchan and Kilhoan are breath -taking. Another path takes you along the coast into Aros Park,spectacular in May when the rhododendruns are in bloom, where a sheltered walkway takes you around the loch and under the trees and up to the many waterfalls and view points along the coast. Mull has an abundance of wildlife, eagles, otters,dolphins, red deer, seals, buzzards are all seen regularly, wildlife safari trips that take you around the island and whale and dolphin watching trips both leave from Tobermory.
Ferry Services
Caledonian MacBrayne operate ferry services from Oban, Lochaline and Kilchoan.You can book the ferry from Oban.
The bus service operates on the island between Tobermory and Craignure and Fionphort (where you cross to Iona) Portrainich Cottage is not on the bus route. You can hire a car on the island.
