The Creggans is a three star hotel offering fine cuisine and bar meals. The Clachan (the original village centre) has a pub (bar lunches) and a petrol station with a well stocked shop which sells provisions, coal, peat and even fishing tackle.

Days out are many and varied, including Inverary Castle, Inverary Jail, the James Newton Botanical Gardens, Dunoon Ceramics, oyster farms and a selection of day trips round nearby islands (March Cottage is on the road to the Isle of Bute ferry at Colintraive).

The immediate area is of historical, geological and botanical interest.
