The area is surrounded on 3 sides by the sea and offers wonderful views. Dunoon is a 5 hour drive from the Midlands area. Portland House has its own private car park and enclosed garden. There are unrestricted views towards the Clyde estuary. The apartment is tastefully decorated and presented to offer guests home-from-home comfort and a pleasant base from which to enjoy many different activities in this truly amazing part of Scotland from sightseeing to quad biking. The hills of Cowal are rich with wildlife, with roaming red roe deer, red squirrels, pine martens and otters. Seals can be seen on the lochs and there are golden eagles to delight the birdwatcher. The apartment comprises two double bedrooms (king size beds) and one twin, suitable for up to six people. The master bedroom has a large en suite bathroom with a double "hi-tec" power shower that is sure to invigorate in the morning. The kitchen is fully fitted, again to a high standard, with all modern conveniences. This includes an electric halogen hob and extractor with coordinating oven below. There is also a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, sandwich maker, washing machine and tumble drier. The lounge is a well-appointed room overlooking the ever-changing scene of the Clyde and along the promenade to the ferry terminal. If you get tired of the beautiful views, then you have TV, DVD player and hi-fi system (teenagers please note) in this relaxing room.
