About Kilchrist Castle Cottages

Kilchrist Castle Cottages are five characterful cottages in the renovated Old Byre of Kilchrist. They are idyllically situated on Scotland’s “mainland island”, the Kintyre peninsular, surrounded by rolling countryside only three miles from the sea. The cottages are designed for 2-6 guests and are mostly non smoking and pet free. In addition there is a small laundry room with a washing machine and tumble drier. All power included in the rent.

The cottages are converted from the Old Byre of Kilchrist, 17th century buildings. They have been recently refurbished. The cottages are ideal for couples or a small family, with Angus the biggest sleeping 6. Each has its own style and because of the age of the buildings there is little sound travel.

There is an abundance of wildlife and you are welcome to walk from the door on farm paths or to play or picnic in the adjacent field which belongs to the cottages. There are numerous sandy beaches within a few miles.
