Within easy reach during a days motoring are: Glencoe, Fort William and Ben Nevis, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Dunoon and Loch Eck, Oban, Crinan and the Isles of Mull, Iona, Islay, Gigha and Arran, while more locally one may visit Inveraray Castle, and an 18th Century jail.
