Bendoran Lodge, enjoys a unique position 50 yards from the shore, the house has panoramic views out to sea and to the islands of Ulva and the BurgBendoran, is an ideal location for all water borne activities, ie fishing, diving, boating, canoeing, sailing etc, or watching wildlife, otters, dolphins and seals are seen regularly in and around the bay. Large kitchen/dining area with CD/cassette player. Kitchen has oven/grill, microwave, dishwasher (no washing machine). Upstairs, bathroom with shower cubicle, bath etc. One double room, one twin room & one 'neat' single room. Sun room at the back with settee & table & chairs Sitting room with TV, video & DVD players. There is central heating in the winter months & electric convector heaters for the summer. Towels & bedding supplied, & the first £10 of electricity. A small heating supplement is payable for the winter months Bendoran Lodge sleeps 5 people The house is comfortable and well equipped with oil central heating, there is a roomy entrance Downstairs loo. Bunessan the nearest village is about a mile away, where there is a post office and three shops also a hotel that serves food. Fionnphort where the ferry crosses to Iona is about 5 miles, this village also has a shop and post office. Caledonian MacBrayne operate ferry services from Oban, Lochaline and Kilchoan.You can book the ferry from Oban The bus service operates on the island between Tobermory and Craignure and Fionphort (where you cross to Iona) Portrainich Cottage is not on the bus route. You can hire a car on the island. I provide a brochure service for people coming to the island, and will send you a pack of over 30 leaflets and brochures of things to see and do on the island, including maps,ferry timetables, wildlife trips, Iona, whale watching trips, castles, places to eat, restaurants, cycling, fishing, golf, and many many more.
