Aird House was built in 1964 and was modernised in the early nineties to a high quality of accommodation for self catering. The accommodation consists of four bedrooms (one large double bedroom, two single bedrooms and one twin bedroom), lounge with a cosy open fire, a fully fitted modern dining kitchen, bathroom upstairs and toilet and washbasin downstairs. There is also a utility room and drying room at the back entrance. The front of the house is surrounded by a walled garden.

Local InformationThe village of Ardfern is a well known yachting haven and has a post office, the Crafty Kitchen offering a food cafe with a craft shop within. The local hotel, Galley of Lorne, offers a bar and evening meals in its restaurant. There is also a village shop. Nearby is the village of Craobh Haven with a pub, a seafood restaurant and water sports on offer. The local horse riding centre, Ardfern Riding Centre, offers western riding, trekking and lessons on their own bred Appaloosa horses. Mid Argyll is well known for its standing stones and Neolithic burial grounds with one being situated on Aird Farm itself. Kilmartin House museum in the village of Kilmartin, is a new archaeology centre which shows intriguing views of life in pre-historic Scotland. Oban is twenty-seven miles with steamers and boat trips to the island of Mull, Tiree and Colonsay. Lochgilphead is twenty miles to the south.
