Lochside Cottage is loved and looked after and we continuously add and replace to make sure there is everything you might need. The large and well equipped kitchen has windows to three sides to make the most of the views and the light. The cosy lounge has a peat burning stove (in addition to the electric heating throughout), plenty of games and books for winter evenings or wet days, and of course TV, DVD, Video and HI FI. Downstairs there is a double room and a bathroom. There are twin rooms upstairs, giving sleeping facilities six people in total. Lochside Cottage will suit couples and families alike and we welcome well behaved dogs by arrangement.
There is a large garden with plenty of parking space and the whole croft is fully enclosed by a fence. There are approximately two acres of newly planted with trees, a nice green grassy area for games and kite flying, and summer meadow for the wild flowers. The bottom gate opens directly onto a rocky, pebbly seashore which is great for pottering, bird watching, and launching kayaks.

This is a wonderful location on the seashore with panoramic views across the water to the hills of the Great Wilderness. The croft land has a total of five acres and we have begun a garden round the house and planted a vegetable plot, trees and hedges. Inspiration has been taken from the Inverewe Gardens in Poolewe at the head of the loch and we often visit Lechmelm Garden (on the way to Ullapool) and Attadale near Loch Carron. Lochside Cottage is ideally situated for exploring Wester Ross, which has wonderful beaches (Firemore is 5 minutes away), dramatic coastal scenery, wooded slopes, National Trust land and the Beinne Eighe Nature Reserve. There are a wide variety of walks and, for the adventurous, the mountains of Torridon, Slioch and An Teallach. Poolewe and Gairloch have a range of facilities - places to eat, craft shops and galleries, museum, heritage trails, swimming pool, pony trekking, golf, fishing, whale and dolphin cruises - but the area still remains uncrowded and peaceful.
