Ardhru house was built in the grand style of 1892 and retains all the Scottish character of a Baronial house, with pine panelling, delicate plaster cornices and magnificent turrets, and having the comfort of all modern appliances. Well furnished and most attractively decorated, set just a few metres from the loch, Ardrhu House has an uninterrupted panorama of mountains and the loch. Ardrhu House has a spacious lounge, and has gas central heating in all rooms, along with open fires in 3 down stairs rooms. The lounge has a 40'' colour TV with DVD player, the Library has a TV and pool table also a large amount of reading material. Attached is a large conservatory. The kitchen has all the modern appliances, also on the ground floor there is a sauna and small gym, a seperate dining room with a dining table to seat all fourteen people comfortable. Ardrhu house has 7 bedrooms two double en-suite one with a four-poster bed and jacuzzi bath and five twins, with a addtional 3 bathrooms. Also there are 2 toilets on the ground floor. There are parking for at least six cars. Ardrhu Holiday Cottages is set in a spectacular lochside location and consists of fourteen varying properties, personally supervised by the resident proprietors, Adrian & Joanne Brookes. From the loch, magnificent 3000-foot mountains soar dramatically in whichever direction you care to look from this beautiful self-catering holiday haven at Onich. The Cottages are set in the mature landscaped four-acre grounds of Ardrhu House (Cottages Nos. 2 - 6 are strictly No Smoking and No Pets). There is a coin-operated launderette, ornamental pond, barbeque and small children's play area, as well as an excellent all-weather tennis court for the exclusive use of our residents. The stunning areas just a short drive from Ardrhu Holiday Cottages include the haunting beauty of Glencoe and Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain. Ardnamurchan, which is the most westerly point on the British mainland, can be reached by taking the Corran Ferry, just one mile north. Activities include the Nevis Range cable car to take you up the mountain of Aonach Mor, offering excellent winter ski-ing and summer downhill mountain biking; the Ice Factor Mountain Activity Centre in Kinlochleven; and our local 9-hole golf course, the Dragon's Tooth, in Ballachulish.
