Carn Ban holiday cottage is an extended traditional stone built crofters cottage situated in the North East of Skye on the Trotternish Peninsula.

A premium property of quality and character, Carn Ban has been wholly restored maintaining the original features, with the addition of modern appliances and new, comfortable furnishings.

There is a lounge for adults and another sitting room with a television, video, DVD and playstation 1. Open fires are in both reception rooms and logs are provided.

Freshly laundered sheets and made-up beds await your arrival. Linen, logs and fuel are included in the price.

There is a good restaurant at the end of the road and 2 grocery shops in Staffin itself. The Fish Man visits Garafad on a Monday afternoon and the butcher on a Friday tea time.

The property commands outstanding views of the Quirang and surrounding mountains and is only a few minutes walk from the safe sandy beach at Staffin where you can walk in the fossilised footsteps of the dinosaurs, found in 2002.

It is an ideal situation for families as the property and its 4 acres of pastureland is surrounded with dry stone walls.

Carn Ban is a superb base in which to enjoy excellent walking, safe bathing, sea and loch fishing, bird watching (Golden Eagles, Buzzards and Sea Eagles), pony trekking and for those seeking peace and solitude.
