Spean Lodge is a historic Highland Country House located in the attractive village of Spean Bridge. We are just 9 miles north of Fort William and Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. The Nevis Range Ski Centre and Mountain Gondola is only 6 miles and Loch Ness, Glencoe, the Isle of Skye and Cairngorms National Park are within easy touring distance. The famous Commando Memorial with fantastic mountain views is a 20 minute walk from the Lodge Spean Lodge is set in two acres of private landscaped and wooded grounds above the River Spean in the centre of the village. Restaurants, village hotels/bars, woollen mill and grocery store are a minute away. River House is a lovely and spacious Victorian property, formerly the north wing of the adjoining historic Lodge. The house stands above the River Spean, with views of the fine early 19th century bridge spanning the river. River House was built in 1878 and retains many of its period features. It sleeps a maximum of 4 guests. * Separate and fully equipped kitchen with double oven, microwave cooker, fridge, washer/dryer etc. * Ground floor shower room and separate toilet with wash hand basin. * Useful ground floor store room - ideal for ruc sacs, luggage, skis etc. * All rooms have either mountain, river or garden views. * Private entrance to the House. * Safe parking area. * Rental includes electricity, heating, bed linen, duvets and towels. * Drying room for outdoor gear and boots available. * NO SMOKING. * Sorry, no pets.
